This includes CaT, a calcium absorption aid, PiNT a unique controlled uptake nitrogen technology that promotes growth habit and vigour and Speedo that accelerates reproductive growth leading to faster and better colour, flowering, sugar production aand maturity in a range of economically important crops including grape, tomato, soft fruit and vegetable markets. The Company's first crop nutrient sales of it's PiNT technologies that strengthen flower stems of ornamentals have been secured in Kenya. Furthermore sales of Plant Impact's CST (Cocoa Stress Technology) in Ghana are underway with field trial results ahead of commercialisation, set in train for this year. CST is a product containing Plant Impact's new generation Alethea plant stress technologies and to date these have been found to be highly effective in cocoa trials resulting in 60% yield increases.
Commenting on the size of the market, long term scope for revenues growth and sales already achieved, Peter Blezard CEO of Plant impact commented, "we are very pleased with both the range of technologies sold and the international spread of our first sales achieved to date, securing transactions in four countries. Indeed we see significant scope for growth in sales of our technologies with strong projections forecast. By way of estimate, we calculate that the market for all crop nutrients is worth up to £348million in France and £154million in Poland and for CST technology, the market in Ghana is worth £48 million alone'. |
